Vision

I have a client who owns an individual health insurance policy that does not include a vision benefit.   The last time she had a vision exam was about five years ago.

Recently, she started having pain in her eyes and experiencing very bad headaches while working at her computer as an administrative assistant.  The images on the television were blurry and she had to squint her eyes.

She went to see an ophthalmologist (an eye specialist) who recommended that she consult with an optometrist for a vision exam and possibly, corrective eye wear.   My client learned that she is nearsighted and needs a special set of eye glasses for reading the computer screen.

Since she did not have a stand-alone Vision Plan, she was responsible for the entire bill for the eye exam, and for the two pairs of eyeglasses.  Seeing how expensive this is, she contacted me to inquire about a stand-alone Vision Policy.  After explaining the various types of plans available, and possibly saving 30% on eye related medical expenses, she selected one that best suited her needs.

Now that my client owns a separate Vision Insurance Plan, she visits an optometrist annually.  With the new eye glasses, she no longer has headaches associated with eye strain.  She is also surprised at the cost savings of having Vision Insurance.

I am glad to meet with you, assess your needs, and recommend the most appropriate vision insurance policy for you.  Please contact me anytime and I will be happy to answer your questions.
